Aqualux - BARDOLINO

This was our third stay at the hotel and it has been excellent every time. Large well appointed bedrooms with a large and extremely comfortable bed. The air conditioning was excellent and needed as the outside night temperature was rarely below 20 during our 11 night stay. We were on half board and the breakfast was again one of the best we’ve had for both choice and quality. The four course evening meal was always excellent with a good choice every night. The antipasti and dessert course were self service, which was not a bad thing. Twice a week all courses are self service but the main course is freshly prepared on the barbecue in the garden. The menu was repeated after 7 seven days but there was still plenty of choice. It also allowed us to choose the same thing again as it was so good the first time around! You have a reserved set table for evenings for the duration of your stay, which was outside and very relaxing. The grounds are very private and extensive with excellent facilities for swimming and sun bathing. A short 10 to 15 minute walk to the resort centre, depending on how mobile you are, but it’s all on the flat. We’ll back in two years again.

Had one diner at arrival. Ate the rest of the stay at different restaurants around lake Garda. There was not much on the menu that got my attention.

We had a birthday dinner for my wife. We choose the seabrass for two. It was cooked in bread dough. It tasted amazingly. Also the wine choiice was great. The waiter recommended a Lugana from Sirmione which was excellent. Style of the restaurant is a little cool. Prices are more on the higher end side.

Very good Italian food with many options. I tasted pasta, meat and fish Very good salads. Excellent service Not big quantity of food. Not like the ones that we have in Greece.

We came for dinner on the first night of our stay and thought we'd treat ourselves. While it's not cheap it was absolutely wonderful. There were not many people dining and the waiters/maitre d' gave us their full attention and were so sweet. We were unsure on dessert wine so were given a tasting and the wine recommendation was spot on. Would absolutely recommend.
