The good news is is that Vera Cruz was one of the ones that stayed open. It is a real family place. My wife and I shared a dinner but it was way more than the 2 of us could eat. The food was tasty and well prepared and I'm almost embarrassed to say that our final bill for dinner and wine was 15 Euro. This is a great family owned place and it will hard to go anywhere else when we come back to Barcelos... which is a certainty.

What a great place 5 minutes from the station and next to the market. I love my salmon that was one of the best I ever had. The spinach type Vegi was far overhauled, but the staff was friendly and efficient.
