Zeltia - Barcelona

My family and I popped in quickly today for a bite to eat and were pleasantly surprised! The atmosphere was inviting and the staff very nice. Most noteably however was the excellent value of the place! We had 2 coffee cortados, 1 Churros and hot chocolate as well as a slice of angel cake for all just under 8 euros. We were astounded! All the food was delicious and thoroughly enjoyable. The angel cake being very fluffy might I add! I highly recommend.

I just finished the Menu lunch at Zeltia. I could choose two courses with offerings such as salads, cold meats and 6 hot dishes. It came with bread, a drink (in my case red wine), and a choice of dessert or coffee, all for €11.50. I began with a nice fresh salad with tuna, anchovies and pieces of crab stick, but the stand-out course was the Cannelloni, filled with meat sauce, topped with bechamel and cheese then baked in the oven. It was really delicious, a dish I 'd come back for. I chose a chocolate crepe for dessert, which would be fine if you 're fond of milk chocolate. Maybe coffee would have been a better choice, but I 've certainly had more than enough to eat, and feel ready to tackle an afternoon of sight-seeing.

This café was close to the apartment we were staying in. Great value breakfast and popular with the locals too. The owner was welcoming and amenable to my attempts at Spanish. Good value and good quality food and drink.
