Tostaderos Bon Mercat - Barcelona

Busy, cheerful little Gothic Quarter cafe with great coffee and a small selection of bocadillos and pastries. Efficent and friendly staff. Limited seating available.Opens at 8am. Perfect for a light breakfast.

Happy to find this cafe in Gothic quarter and it was my go-to for a caffeine fix during my stay here (I stayed very near to Gothic quarter). The cafe was small but popular, given the number of people found there during peak hour (early morning and after lunch hour). There's most likely no seat during this hour, but one can always stand at the counter to enjoy the coffee. Love their espresso in the morning and tallat (coffee with steamed milk) for afternoon. They roasted their own coffee, ou can choose based on the flavour, I ordered some of the bean back as gift for coffee lover friends

We were looking around for a small brunch type snack, and saw the high ratings. However, first they ignored us (while chatting to a local in front of us for ~five minutes), then they were slow, then they ignored us again when we wanted to get food (small sandwiches), which seemed expensive and not particularly tasty. There 's almost no place to sit, and in the few places you do, foot traffic is bumping your back most of the time. We ate our croissant (okay, nothing special), drank our coffee (expensive, take a cafe i llet (coffee and milk) instead of a latte or machiatto, which was very similar, but smaller (even in XXL) and more expensive), and left. I 'll admit, I 'm not a coffee aficionado, so perhaps it was amazing (although I have noticed good vs bad coffee), but overall it was a very disappointing and frustrating experience.

A cafeteria, located ql barri gòtic de barcelona, on venen també cafè a granel. llàstima que hi fa una mica de fred, perquè la porta està oberta per comprar café per endur. hi fan uns entrepans boníssims! i un cafè excel•lent!

My house away from home. the spectacular mqs coffee in the center. here if you know what they do. The spectacular sooon girls and the coffees are toast as it has to be. Don't burn them!
