Irene's Pizza - Baraga

I've been coming to this place for decades, and I can honestly say that this visit was the most disappointing. I ordered both the thin and medium crusts, and they were unbelievably tough. I've never experienced fresh pizza that felt like it had been microwaved after sitting in the fridge for two days. I have a special fondness for Irene's, but after 30 years and being let down twice during my week-long trip, I think it’s time to let it go. It’s just a shadow of its former self. No matter how fond the memories are, it’s hard to enjoy lackluster pizza.
