I ordered the roasted cauliflower dish and the pumpkin cake, but both were disappointingly bland. The cauliflower dish was simply steamed and lacked any flavor, while the pumpkin cake was accompanied by dry rice and tasteless cheese. The food tasted like it came from a school cafeteria and was overpriced. My friend ordered seafood, which was also underwhelming. We left the restaurant feeling unsatisfied and spent over $100 on a meal that did not meet our high expectations.
The choices at this restaurant are below average. They are altered dishes with missing ingredients, making them not very tasty. Even the remaining components are poorly prepared. I suggest skipping this place altogether and trying somewhere else.
My husband, two-year-old, and I recently enjoyed a fantastic lunch at Galyn’s. I would definitely recommend trying the butternut squash cakes, which can be made vegan upon request without the raita. I found them to be flavorful and not dry at all, and the long grain rice that came with it was very tasty. We also liked the roasted cauliflower appetizer. Surprisingly, my daughter ate more here than anywhere else during our vacation, enjoying the cauliflower, cakes, and especially the long grain rice. Even my husband, who typically eats meat, enjoyed his meal, so it’s a great option for everyone.
The menu features a "v" symbol indicating vegan options, but lacks descriptions to explain what it stands for (which is confusing). Some dishes can be made vegan upon request. While everything we tried was tasty, we felt that the prices were a bit steep for what we received.
My boyfriend and I read a lot of positive reviews about this restaurant, so we decided to try it out since most other places were closed during the season. I ordered the roasted cauliflower plate and the squash cakes. However, both dishes were very bland with no seasoning at all. The cauliflower plate was simply a quarter of a steamed and watery cauliflower, while the squash cakes were served with dry white rice and unseasoned sautéed kale. Everything on my plate lacked flavor and tasted like something from a school cafeteria. The prices were also very high for the quality of the food. Although we were expecting a good meal, we left feeling unsatisfied and disappointed after spending over $100. My partner also ordered seafood, but was equally unimpressed. Overall, it was a bland and terrible experience at a restaurant that is primarily known for seafood.
