Ciao - Bar Harbor

The tapas were exceptional. I tried the shaved zucchini, which was very light but absolutely delicious. The fried cauliflower came with an excellent sauce, and the fried shrimp and sausage had a fantastic broth. I will definitely return! Food: 5, Service: 5, Atmosphere: 5.

We definitely should have taken some pictures because the presentation was just as impressive as the food! Everything was perfect. My wife and I shared six dishes and a dessert, and we wouldn’t hesitate to order every dish again. I’m especially grateful for introducing my wife to swordfish! She's not usually a seafood lover, but now she absolutely adores it! That's a win! We would have returned the very next night, but sadly they were closed on Sunday and Monday. I suppose this just gives us another excuse to come back to Bar Harbor! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We have been following Chef Kyle for years and have always eaten at his restaurants whenever we can. Ciao is the latest creation and it does not disappoint! It is very hard to choose which small plates to order; they all sound amazing. We finally settled on several and were not disappointed. The presentation is stunning and the flavors top it all! I am eager to return to try items I didn’t have space for this time! I recommend Ciao without reservation. Eat here. You will be so happy that you did. We were pleasantly surprised to find amazing, nuanced food with fresh ingredients and simple seasonings here in Bar Harbor. It was not easy selecting our favorites but mine had to be the Mushroom Confit and my partner chose the Chorizo Shrimp. These great tapas are complimented by a comfortable atmosphere, and friendly attentive service. If we lived in the area we would be regulars. If we ever vacation here again it will be the first place we eat. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

No comment on the food as we didn’t get the opportunity to try. Feedback to the restaurant would be that when it’s pouring with rain, and your potential customers are walking 15 minutes with a baby to eat (35 minutes before advertised closing), it would be appreciated to activate the online waiting list described on the website, rather than turning people away who expected no wait. “We didn’t have time, and no those 2 open seats aren’t available” didn’t leave a particularly pleasant taste.
