Beach Burrito Company - Banora Point

The front of house staff are fantastic at what they do. My food arrvies without the long wait and tastes better then competing mexican resturants in Coolangatta. Friendly atmosphere, great place to relax and unwind with a few local legends in the late afternoon. This is why i will be returning. Thank you Beach Burrito Coolangatta.

Me and my friends come into beach burrito often and always have a good time. Theres lots of competition in coolangatta for mexican and this one stands out with live music sundays and original ingredients and meals like the barramundi fish burrito. I usually get the crispy chicken taco too because its a tough choice! The staff are friendly and make you feel at home and i even met the chef.Will always come back for a casual feed and the live music on sundays

Asked staff how long food would be they said 15 mins as i was going to work in 1 hour thought it would be ok. Waitress never took our order we had to get up and order.45 minutes and food never arrived so we had to leave without eating.I had to work a 6 hour shift on an empty stomach.They even made me pay for my cocktail which took 20 minutes.I sat there and watched you're inexperienced staff talk amongst each other as if they were at a party and not work. And youre bartender had a sling?! Just so unprofessional.Wont be coming back.Id avoid!

We visited for dinner last night and enjoyed our meal. There are renovations on the go so the seating area was smaller than I guess it'll be, but that didn't affect our meal. Monday is a good night as all meals are $15, so we had a jug of watermelon margaritas which were enjoyable.This would have been a very average meal except the waitresses were so lovely, paying attention and chatting but without intruding. The food was okay, quite bland for Mexican food and also lukewarm in temperature. The meal came quickly and I get the feeling they have all the stuff for the various dishes sitting waiting and just dish it out. Perhaps a bit more attention to keeping it hot.All the Mexican restaurant reviews here in Coolangatta express disappointment with the taste and I have to agree here too. It isn't so hard to make decent tasting Mexican food with some character, so come on BBC, try a bit harder (go visit some good Melbourne Mexican restaurants to see how easy it is).Despite the lovely staff and margaritas, I wouldn't be inclined to eat here again as there are other places that try harder to serve tasty food.

This place is average at best. Slow service on slow nights, tiny portions, dry food. I tried it two years ago when it first opened and it was so-so, but it seems to be going to the dogs now. I wouldn't be surprised if they close down judging from the reviews I've read. I won't be back
