Stonewalls - BANNER ELK

The best food we had in Banner Elk. The setting is a little old, but it is cozy. The service was friendly and prompt. The food was excellent. The drinks were good and they have a great bourbon selection. The deviled eggs were incredible. The chef is allegedly known for his deserts so save some room

The food was decent. French Onion Soup was horrifyingly Salty but the Trouser Trout was acceptable. The bathrooms were very very small with a line out to the parking lot. I had to drain the main vain out by the dumpster. The bar bender was very snooty and no sense of humor.

We went to Stonewalls for our 29th anniversary dinner and were not disasapilointed. We were ealy dinners right after the open. Food quality and Service were exceptional. We had the mushroon appitiser. I had the NY strip with ceasar Salad and creamed spinache my wife had the fillet with the lobster Addition and baked potatoes. My food Was cooked perfectly. If I had and complaint it would be the ceasar salad as it seemed below the quality of the other food. Perhaps the ceasar Dressing Was not homemade. Service was exceptional. Price was on the upper end of the Ränge but was worth every pennt. We will definitely return.

First time to Stonewalls. The service was great, our waitress was very good. For the price of the food, the quality was really not there. Their famous salad bar, I would not do it again. When I first saw it before people were getting food from it, it looked great. When I went to get my salad, it was a mess. When I touched some of the utensils to pick up the salad contents, the utensils were icky as though they were dropped into the salad dressing. I had to go clean my hands. The person attending the maintenance of the salad bar was moving lettuce on the bar with his bare hand. You talk about being clean, was not. An employee does not touch food that people are going to eat with their bare hand, gross. They charge $8 for one trip to the salad bar, quality for the salad bar was certainly not there. Will not go again.

Amazing food and service. Been going 25 years.. have tried almost everything and never been disappointed!! I almost hate to share ? best pork chop You will ever taste !!! Heather is a fabulous waitress with excellent tips on what’s good and made our dining experience one of the highlights of our vacation this year !!
