Tiny restaurant with a selection of precooked, daily dishes. The red curry was rich and flavoursome and the noodles were crisp and spicy. The greens a little too hard but a favourite was the soup prepared upon request by the very thoughtful owner. Personally would have preferred less mock meat in the dishes but it was all satisfying and bargain priced in pleasant environment.
Buffet style typical Jay food set up that you find all over Thailand. Rice and a couple of dishes was 60 baht so great value! They do have a normal menu with plenty of choice but I always go with the buffet style, always tasty and hits the spot in terms of quantity! Great if you're looking for a quick bite, would eat there again for sure!
Whatever Thai dish you want to try you can get it here, veganized. They also have a buffet line if that’s what you’re into. Lil hole in the wall vibe.
(Current as of early 2020) Long before I went vegan, I was living in Thailand and eating at a small Thai restaurant nearly every day for half a year. Usually, I had Thai fried rice with lots and lots of nam pla, and a coke. This restaurant let me relive that experience. This place is so incredulously genuine, it hurts. Down to the vibe and the general atmosphere: fans instead of ACs, store fridge full of soft drinks, small buddhist family altar. But what I cared about the most was the fried rice with nam pla. Nam pla is based on fish sauce, and they were able to recreate the fishy taste of it using a spice blend based on seaweed! And their fried rice had it all, from green basil and tofu egg, to mock meats, to cucumbers on the side This is not an upscale restaurant, nor it pretends to be. Wait times can be long, the restaurant owner gets stressed by huge takeaway orders at times, plus usually she works the tables and the kitchen alone (sometimes her son came to help after school). IMO, it all only added to the experience. Updated from previous review on 2022-05-18
