I've never done my own garlic toast. what a fun. our experience in banff and dinner at pacini was unforgettable. our server courtney has treated us like old friends. the food was excellent. risotto was perfect.
Absolutely excellent food and service, I make sure I go back every time when Iâm in Banff . Staff are very friendly
Nice room, reasonable service but the menu is eclectic and not executed very well. An Italian that cannot serve olives , but served Bologna sauce with chicken parmigiana. I wouldnât come back
Booked a week in advance. Only had one night in Banff. Waiter was very nice. Ordered calamari and Caesar salad for appetizers. Mediocre at best. Ceasar wasn’t mixed properly. Salad dressing on half. Calamari a bit oily for us. Ordered coke and water and lemon. Ordered a second coke which never came, lemon neither. I had grilled chicken rosmarino with pasta. My partner had roasted cod and tomato sauce pasta. Hers was delicious. Probably the best fish she had ever had. Hot and very tasty. Same with pasta. On the other hand mine was warm at best with concealed gravy. Pasta was tasteless. Our waiter having forgotten our lemon and coke was kind enough to offer a replacement. I ordered veal and pasta. Oh they have a great garlic butter, pesto, tomatoe basil bar. With do it yourself grill. Great idea. Wish our waiter would have mentioned its included. I never saw it on our way in. But we love garlic bread! The second meal arrived 20 minutes after my partner finished dinner. They comped both my chicken and veal and the manager was very nice about it. I took my dinner to go as we only have one night in Banff and didn’t want to spend it in a restaurant all night. Im sure the waiter had an off night. But really between him and the terrible meal. It really set a bad start to our only night in Banff. I didn’t tip because the service in my mind was an afterthought for the waiter. Im staying at the Moose Hotel that houses the restaurant. Its a once in a lifetime trip the room is $800.00 a night. Id wish I could give picini a 5 star review. But they only deserve a 2 star. Ps first time that I can remember not giving a tip. Ps this was met by the waiter will a big frown of disapproval.
