You could stay inside as much as you like and almost all paintings, furnitures, sculptures are with explanations. You could see a film about the house. Wonderful café, park and souvenir shop.
This is a truly magically place, with lots of history, a walk threw the forest taking you straight into nature, I highly recommend that you visit here with your family for a nice day out
We have visited here many times and the house and grounds are very nice and well looked after. Last time we visited there was a memorial service as it was 78 years on from the German bombing of house as during WW2 it was a prisoner of war camp, the service was to remember the 8 people that were killed. The service was very informative and at the end of the service a new memorial was unveiled.
Awesome looking palace. If you love old art work this is the place for you. No backpacks allowed inside. But they do have several lockers you can use, for no fee. They have a short video you should watch before you go in, it explains a lot. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and are willing to answer any of your questions. Can't remember if they said no photos, not that much into art but it was very interesting to see and they had a lot of antique furniture and decorations. The detail in some of the ceilings was cool.
I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The art collection is impressive, featuring pieces from the Scottish National Gallery as well as private collectors. The venue itself is beautiful, and the staff were incredibly friendly. This place is a must-visit in Aberdeenshire. For parking, head towards the playground to avoid muddy paths in the forest. The coastline of Banff is also a great spot for watching the Northern Lights.
