If you love seafood and crave authentic Goan dishes, this is the place for you. Despite its modest ambiance resembling a small side street, the flavors of the food will surpass your expectations. Be sure to try the Bangda fish cooked in banana leaf and their shellfish dishes. Additionally, their brown rice served in the Thali is a standout compared to regular white rice. Don't miss out on trying it!
A great lunch. Eating is good! But a sad environment. Only if this place kept its surroundings clean... Located behind the cross. Visit for a big fish thali worth
We decided to stop for lunch at a restaurant located behind Holy Cross Church in Bambolim, after hearing much about it while visiting someone at nearby GMC hospital. The ambience and cleanliness at this place left much to be desired, with cheap plastic chairs and tables that seemed unclean, and stray dogs loitering around. Despite this, we tried to focus on the food, which unfortunately was just average. The stuffed mackerel in banana leaf was okay, while the fried shrimp was the standout dish. However, the service and prices were on the higher side for the quality offered. Due to the poor ambience, I wouldn't consider going back to this restaurant.
First I love this place. I'll go here twice a week. You have the best fish all over Goa. The ambience is not great, but it can be apologised for by eating. The fish is great, don't try. Order...Special fish like red snaps, king fish, pawns and very rear fish seasonal. The gravitational dishes such as chicken, Prawns, Shellfish are a total of 5 stars for this place. I love it.
This small restaurant is located next to Holy Cross Church in Bambolim, just 5km from Panaji. They offer a variety of delicious seafood dishes at affordable prices. The only downside is that the place is not very organized, so it's best to order your food to go. We tried the big fried prawns, which were tasty and came with 8 pieces for Rs200. The Clams dish was also great and enough for two people, priced at Rs180. However, it was very spicy, so make sure to request less spice if you prefer. Other popular dishes include Prawn Drumstick (5-6 pieces for Rs100), Crab (priced between Rs200-300 depending on size), Calamari (Rs180), and King Fish (Rs150 per piece). It's worth noting that the restaurant is open from 11am to 3pm, so you'll need to place an order in the morning if you want food in the evening. Overall, it's a must-try place for seafood lovers.
