Hofbraeu - Bamberg

Traditional brewhouse (before place directly nix brewed) in the bamberger old town. the selection from the fass is limited exclusively.

Not half a liter beer! very bad! only 0.4 liter! for franken very funny.

We only came to this place because this place first appeared and happened to be the next to us. I saw they take cards and are good for children.

We had lunch here after exploring the old town. It was a sunny day so we sat outside. We had two large beers and ordered bratwurst with red cabbage and chips. The food was delicious and the service was friendly and attentive. We recommend you give this place a try.

We spotted this restaurant across the street in Bamberg Old Town where we saw folks dining, drinking and chatting outside. A lot of the other places had several youths drinking outside, but this looked sophisticated and charming. Inside the restaurant has an original 1930s decor. The service was great and the staff were very courteous, friendly and accommodating. The food was absolutely delicious! The menu is traditional German and very well presented. It’s an a la carté menu but with cheap prices. We highly recommend this restaurant if you don’t want anything overloaded with drinking tourists. (See my other review for the alternative)
