Cafe Villa Remeis Bamberg

Nice place for coffee and cake. We went at 3:00 and were disappointed that they were from their special Remeis cake. Had another cake that seemed kind of dry. Anyway, it's nice to sit there in an afternoon and enjoy the refreshments and spectacular views.

Rather first-class bakery serves coffee and exquisite cakes, as well as other refreshments and food. The view over the city is raised, it is quiet and more exclusive.

Den Kuchen und Torten kann und sollte man sich nicht entgehen lassen.Entweder mit schöner Aussicht von den im Garten aufgestellten Tischen und Stühlen oder bei schlechtem Wetter auch in den Innenräumen, die einen gewissen altmodischen Charme ausstrahlen. Zudem unterstützt man mit seinem Besuch auch einen sozialen Zweck.

We stopped by for the view on our hike, and decided that the view could use some Kaffee und Kuchen. I ordered a pot of hot chocolate, and like most cafes here, it comes with full fat milk, not my favorite, but still tastes fine, just a tad bit rich for me. But the only complaint I had with the hot chocolate, is that it was lukewarm. My spouses Cappuccino was hot and good, large size cup. He ordered the Apfelkucken which looked good, no whipping cream on it, and it tasted good as well. Here their Apfel Kuchen are really that, more cake than pie with a cake bottom instead of a pie crust, which I happen to like better as cakes in general tend to be rather tasteless. I ordered the Rhabarber Baiser, which is a Rhubarb cake with meringue on top. A kind of strange rhubarb meringue pie, tho again with cake instead of pie crust. So while the view is fantastic, the servings, at least what we had were just so-so, and the service spanned the nice to totally ignore.

Dad Cafe Remeis ist immer wieder einen Besuch wert. Bei schönem Wetter hat man draußen einen schönen Blick über die Stadt. Die Kuchen sind lecker und stets eine Versuchung. Die Bedienung war freundlich wenn auch bei unserem Besuch gut am Laufen. Trotzdem war der Besuch ein schönes Erlebnis und es hat uns gut gefallen.
