Backerei Seel - Bamberg

The Seel is one of our regular and favorite stops in Bamberg. We visited there with our family yesterday. Everyone found something that they loved. The renovated facility retains the charm of the old facility and adds a bit of humor to the ambiance if you can read German. If not, ask someone to translate for you.

Same workers as before, but with a whole new look. If you are looking for something quick to eat then this will do you well. Free bathrooms that are clean, which in Europe is hard to find. Good selection of food for a bakery.

This bakery dated back to the end of the 14th century! By appointment of the King (a while ago). The locals say that it´s the best bakery in Bamberg, especially for the delicously crispy croissants and I side with them! This place is tiny and there´s a tiny coffeshop inside also. Get a coffee to go and a croissant or a couple - they´ll melt in your mouth...This place it right next to the famous Schlenkerls Brewery in Sandstreet.

A great place for mid-afternoon coffee and cake. Many choices, all good. If you want the struedel, don't wait until late in the day, it goes quickly.
