Ambrausianum - Bamberg

Our family of 6 adults enjoyed this great restaurant. All the selections we ordered were wonderful. Good service and cheap.

This was recommended by our hotel staff. We sat outside in the evening at typical German tables where you sit with whoever is their. We ordered the sausage platter consisting of a sampling of several types. The sauerkraut was a bit sour for one of us. The sausages ranged from a traditional Nuremburg type to both more bland and spiced pne. The plate was very goid and tasty. We also ordered a cheese/ham stuffed schnitzal with fries. An unusual but tasty way to serve it. The taste was very good. Fries were outstanding. We had a few non-alcoholic beers to wash down the food. They were ok. We did not try their specialty beer. NOTE: They do not accept US credit cards so you need to pay them in cash..Our cost for the two meals, three beers, one water and a separate salad was about €47. Very reasonable.

Wir wollten einfach etwas anderes ausprobieren und die günstige Lage war verführerisch.Dann aber:Als Mineralwasser gab es Wasser aus der Leitung mit Kohlensäure versetzt 6,50 Euro.Die Bratwürste trocken; die extra bestellten Spätzle zum Sauerbraten trocken, wie erneut aufgewärmt.Der Nachtisch -Quarkknödel mit Vanillesauce- durchschnittlich.Nachdem wir einen Tag zuvor im Kachelofen für weniger Geld besser gegessen hatten, war das Ergebnis eindeutig. never again

Dopo una ricerca online, il mio ragazzo ed io siamo andati a colpo sicuro con l'Ambrausianum: ottime recensioni, prezzi nella media e posizione centrale. Da buon tedesco del Sud, mi aveva promesso un piatto fumante e delizioso di Käsespätzle... e il sogno si è avverato! Tutto molto buono, porzioni abbondanti che includono quasi sempre un'insalata di contorno. Cameriere gentilissime che mi hanno anche cambiato l'insalata su richiesta di eliminare il cetriolo e il dressing. Prezzi nella media, decisamente consigliato per l'ottimo cibo e per la posizione (vicino a little Venice e il centro con il magnifico Rathaus).
