The food is greeeeaaattt! I stayed for a week in Baltimore and dined in twice : their crab dip is delicious :
It had been awhile since I'd been to the harbor. Wasn't sure where to stop at for a quick bite. Saw that this place had outdoor seating and was actually open, so we gave it a try. We were a bit confused by the name and the type of restaurant it was. It's like an Asian inspired Irish pub, or maybe the other way around. Still not quite sure. Expectations going in were not very high. Just looking for a quick bite and a couple of drinks. Pleasantly surprised with the whole experience. Was debating on what to order, and finally went with the short rib grilled cheese. Anything with short rib in the description usually sucks me in. This grilled cheese is like what you remember as a kid but ten times better because it has tons of short rib on it. Was reading a review that was saying there wasn't that much meat on the sandwich...that was sooooo not the case (see pics). If you are feeling like having a major cheat day...this is a great option. For me it was too much to handle on my own. Splitting it is the way to go. Side note...the fries were awesome too. Love a place that has good fries.
So, you have probably already decided you are going here and you will ignore this review but just in case you haven't... If you go for drinks and the great view of the inner harbor, you will really enjoy it. You might even like some of the appetizers with your drinks, but expect average bar food. If you go for a meal, you will try to convince yourself that it isn't that bad because you want to like the place. But, the food is below average. The cod in the fish and chips was thin, dry, and very over-cooked and the batter was heavy and oily. The corned beef in the Reuben had almost no flavor and the bread was stale. The fries were hot but over-cooked, or reheated, and oily. The shepherd pie was pretty good but not spectacular. The prices are high because of the tourist location. Overall, very disapponting. So, eat somewhere better where you won't feel bad about spending too much money on meh food. Then go here for drinks
This place was on the second floor overlooking the Inner Harbor. There was a bar inside with plenty of seating. There were also several tables to sit outside too. The service was appreciated. The lunch menu did not provide too many options as there were limited choices for starters, sandwiches, soup and salads as well as entrees. For a starter, the Buffalo Cauliflower $13) was ordered. It consisted of roasted cauliflower, Buffalo sauce, blue cheese crumbles with a side of blue cheese dressing. This dish was solid except for the ratio of buffalo sauce to blue cheese crumbles. There were too many crumbles present here. It took away the taste of the buffalo sauce. The cauliflower was cooked appropriately. For my entrée, I had the salmon burger on ciabatta $18). It came with capers, red onions, greens, tomato, pickles, and a green goddess sauce. There was also a side of fries. The sauce was definitely a pesto based sauce, which went well with the burger. My only complaint about the entrée was the dryness of the salmon. The sauce helped with that issue though. The fries were very good. I also had some of the brie and apple sandwich with the roasted turkey. I hardly tasted the brie, but the pretzel roll was what really stood out here. The turkey was decent. Will I go back? Probably.
