Jia Home Cooking - Baltimore

Despite Google listing the restaurant as temporarily closed on November 10, 2021, I was able to place an order through DoorDash. I tried a combo meal that included spare ribs and another one with chicken legs. The food had a comforting, homemade Chinese flavor. However, the packaging left much to be desired. The side dish of stir-fried tomatoes with tofu skin was quite soupy and spilled out, leaving the bottom of the paper bag soaked. Had I not noticed it in time, the food would have surely fallen out of the bags. That said, the tomatoes and tofu dish was delicious; I just wish there had been more leafy vegetables included.

The food here is fantastic, bursting with fresh, vibrant flavors. I especially love the dumplings and the Chinese hamburger, and the Kung Pao chicken is a must-try. Be sure not to miss the combination of cucumber salad with the Kung Pao chicken—it's a perfect pairing. This place offers a more authentic Chinese dining experience than many others in Baltimore, with each menu item being delicious and packed with great flavor.

The restaurant offers fantastic authentic Chinese cuisine. I really enjoyed the spicy burger on a green onion bun, as well as the Kung Pao chicken and beef soup. However, I do wish they had their hours posted!
