Henninger's Tavern - Baltimore

Whenever I travel for work, I make it a point to dine at local eateries rather than chain restaurants. I recently visited Henninger's and this place truly embodies the essence of a local establishment.

If you're not familiar with Henninger, it can be difficult to locate this restaurant. However, once you know where it is, the search will be worth it.

I went to this restaurant based on my friend's recommendation and ordered the crab cake, wine, and key lime pie. The portions were generous and delicious, perfect for sharing. The service was good and although the place is small, it was a great overall experience.

The atmosphere was fantastic and the food was quite good. I also loved the artwork on the walls.

Our host was really great. Super friendly and interesting. Food was great, got the crab cake duet which was very good. Definitely recommend the crab cakes if you enjoy smaller, all lump cakes with no filler. Atmosphere is great, reminds me of many East Baltimore mainstays, with wainscoting, red paint, and walls full of photos and paintings.
