El Salvador - Baltimore

My friend, who lives in Baltimore, recommended this restaurant because it's just a short walk from her house, and I must say it was amazing. The meal was definitely affordable given the generous portion sizes, and the mango milkshake was delicious. I really enjoyed my experience there!

For the entree, I highly recommend the mariscada paired with guacamole as an appetizer—it's the perfect combination! When you order the mariscada, be sure to request it made with coconut milk, and add a side of fried fish with extra lime. You'll experience a taste that's simply heavenly!

Surprisingly good Salvadoran restaurant in the heart of Baltimore. We were visiting a family member at Hopkins and were grateful to be able to have lunch at this spot. Everything we ordered was good and the server accommodated me not eating dairy.

The prices are unbeatable, the food is delicious and authentic, and the waitstaff are friendly and quick. The beer and wine are very reasonably priced. Having grown up in Latin America, this whole place brings back a lot of nostalgic memories for me. I highly recommend it—10/10!

I use to eat here several times in the week (carne asada with ice is my favorite) before I moved out of town. Of course I come back again and again because I love this place, eating, service, all waiters/workers, the whole atmosphere is welcoming and authentic. I also love their bakery, it has a hot bar to breakfast and lunch with a huge selection of freshly baked.
