Chaps Pit Beef - Baltimore

We arrived and were completely ignored at the counter while an employee wrapped sandwiches right in front of us, without a greeting or even a question. Our sandwiches were missing all the sauces we ordered, leaving us with a dry mess of meat. To make matters worse, the meat was extremely bland, lacking any hint of salt or seasoning. Hoping for some redemption with our coleslaw and mac and cheese, we found those to be better than the main dishes. However, halfway through the mac and cheese, I discovered a small black hair sticking out from the noodles. We will not be returning; we were very disappointed, especially given how well-regarded this place is. It seems that the fame has compromised your standards. What a letdown.

Before leaving, I took one last chance and ordered what I initially intended to have: the turkey sandwich, and I was pleasantly surprised. It was loaded with flavor and absolutely delicious. I nearly forgot to add BBQ sauce because it was that good! I think if you focus on what they do best, you’ll have a great meal. I would definitely return just for the turkey sandwich.

I hadn't been here in five years, but my wife took me here for some pit beef to celebrate my 30th birthday. It still stands true that they serve the best pit beef in the world. A big shoutout to the chefs!

This is the 1st time eating at this location! It was exactly the same food, thank God! They're now a franchise I was unaware of that! They have THE BEST BURGERS THEY DO NOT PUT THEM ON KAISER ROLLS EITHER! They put a bigger then your mouth burger on a regular burger bun like it should be served! Their fries are REAL CUT POTATOES FRIED CRISPY YUMMY!! If I could eat red meat every day, I'd eat a medium rare Chaps cheeseburger with fries all the fixings!! Thanks Chaps for always giving this girl a real burger cooked the way she likes it!! Keep On Griling!!!
