Captain James Landing - Baltimore

This was not my first trip to Captain James Landing and as always they did not fail to please. The food is generous in portion and beyond generous in taste. Plate presentation is also carefully executed. Our server Belie was fun and engaging and truly knew the menu. A phenomenal time. We will be back!

I've been coming to Captain James for a number of years now. Have been seated on the water as well as in the restaurant across the street. Crabs, Hush puppies, cole slaw always very good. Service has been wonderful too. I will keep coming back.

Atmosphere is really nice. The food wasn’t bad but it wasn’t anything special either. When I say it wasn’t “anything special” please don’t take that as being nasty…it wasn’t, I just mean that there’s nothing about the food that makes it stand above and beyond any other place that sells blue crabs and other varieties of seafood. Should you try Captain James, sure if you’re in the area. Would I go out of my way to go back, no, not at all. Service was really good and I’m thankful for that since gratuity is automatically added. Had service been less than stellar, I guess one could take it up at that time but thankfully we had no need because the service was excellent. I hope this doesn’t come off as a negative review because that’s not my intention, however I’m just being fair and honest of my opinion of this place.

Crab cakes were bland and overpriced. Everything, but the crab legs was uninspired.

The food was excellent. Service was good. Very nice setting/ambiance
