Ampersea - Baltimore

We tied the knot at Ampersea on September 24, 2022. Choosing a wedding venue was one of the most challenging parts of our wedding planning. There are so many hidden costs and details that couples often have to figure out by themselves. However, when we discovered Ampersea, we felt a huge sense of relief knowing we wouldn't have to stress about renting tables, chairs, napkins, and other essentials. We had exclusive use of the entire restaurant, and the pricing was very transparent. Plus, we were confident that the food would be exceptional.

The atmosphere, food, and service were all outstanding. We visited for brunch last Saturday and were impressed. The honey hot wings were the best I’ve ever tasted, and the shrimp and grits were absolutely delicious. My son thoroughly enjoyed the chicken and waffles. We also enjoyed stunning views and great photo opportunities.

The grits were definitely not the smooth texture mentioned on the menu and lacked flavor. They were quite lumpy and dry, and surprisingly contained potatoes. I was confused, as I've never encountered potatoes in shrimp and grits; I initially thought they were sausages. After removing the potatoes and adding plenty of salt, pepper, and melted butter, they were finally somewhat edible. On a positive note, the weather was beautiful during our visit, and the bottomless mimosas were a nice touch, so it wasn't all bad. The staff were also very friendly and attentive.

The Service that I received Ali was exceptional. When he arrived to our table to serve us you can immediately tell that his smile was from within. He was very knowledgeable about the Menu and his suggestion of foods was great as well. He definitely checked on us on a timely manner to make sure we were ok, the food was brought out in a timely manner as well. The taste of the food was definitely great, sitting by the water and enjoying this evening with my significant other

Located in Fells Point, this gem was refreshingly classy and chic. The staff was attentive and fun. The food was delicious. I recommend the pretzel. The cocktail menu was fun as well. I enjoyed the hibiscus gin drink.
