The Water Margin - Ballymena

The chow mein was tasteless and lacked any flavor. Compared to other similar takeout options in the area, this one was quite disappointing. We also ordered other dishes that were overly salty, and the portion sizes were lacking. The only positive aspect was the front-end service; even the prawn crackers were below par. The reception staff were absolutely wonderful. Unfortunately, the food we received was extremely disappointing. The portions were barely enough to fill half a container, and the salt and chili chicken I ordered was awful—just a pile of salt with only seven pieces of chicken on a bed of onions. Even the prawn crackers were nearly inedible; they were thin, tasteless strips of pure grease. I will definitely not be returning! Service: Takeout.

I had my first experience dining from here and it was great! The Chicken Curry was delicious, with generous portions of meat. The gravy on the Chicken Fried Rice was exceptional—so rich and flavorful!
