Sausages were really well filled and spicy. the house has made the smell of food they have just made to eat it! everything was just perfect! donna imagined and verified that we were satisfied with our eating a few times and took time for a chat. the personal note is so important and missed a lot nowadays. we were really impressed by our experience from beginning to end and will definitely return to try some of the beautiful lunches.
First visit, beautiful small picturesque restaurant. I called for coffee and scoone, which was beautiful, in a beautiful environment. the order backback unfortunately had to ask two more. Unfortunately, coffee was now cold and I had other obligations. I was disappointed by the others, but. that would perhaps go back if the service was sharper. but the owner can at least inform himself. do not like to return neg .feed
Mary and martha’s is just the sweetest and most original little tee room. it is well decorated and cleanliness is of highest standard. the personal is excellent, very friendly, always smiling, welcome and efficient, they will all their requirements, especially for children, as I eat there with my 2...daughter is absolutely beautiful with a variety of variety and excellent presentation. the desserts are definitiw a small piece of heaven for those who have a sweet tooth. the girls loved the chocolate brownies. it is definitely trying it would highly recommend.
When you've got a name that rings of originality the expectation for something different is heightened. That was the case when, for the first time, I joined family and friends for refreshments at this venue. The welcome was immediate, reflecting a well trained staff and...the choice of food was just up our street a variety of scones and some pastry treats to tempt the taste buds. The tea was excellent as was the coffee and the scones accompanied by the nicest jam I think I've ever sampled received all round praise. We weren't looking or expecting fine dining Mary and Martha's Vintage Tea Room isn't that type of place but it oozes atmosphere, and the entire ambience of the place suggests some clever thinking about designing a venue that has a quaintness I imagine makes it a popular venue. No doubt local residents of Ahoghill will be well aware of Mary and Martha's tea room and give it strong patronage. The food is freshly cooked and there's an all-day fry available. It really is a hidden gem and well worth a visit if you happen to be in the area five minutes from Ballymena would take you there a journey well worth it.
Amazing hidden gem in Ahoghill............. visited today for lunch after recommendation by my sister. I was not disappointed..........toasted chicken wrap with fresh salad, copious amounts of tea served in a beautiful china teapot and the most delicious pineapple cream for dessert! Staff were very friendly...and helpful. I traveled a round trip of 50 miles and it was definitely worth the journey.
