The wait staff were friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area. Thank you for a great meal!
Absolutely dreadful the only good thing was the lovely staff. We had expensive cod that you had to pay separately for the chips and I had a side of veg of the day. The fish was soggy and tasteless' the chips were quite nice compared to the reality and the veg so soggy and gross I left them. The hot chocolate was lovely. I don't cope well with confrontation no matter how polite so i felt too nervous to say how i truly felt. Because they were so nice it also made it hard. We genuinely felt gross and sick as it was so so greasy and gross and stodgy. It was one of the worst meals I ever had and it was overly experience also. I'm my personal opinion' I'd steer clear of this place. I don't usually leave negative feedback and I'm sorry to be so negative but it was so gross I thought I'd need to be honest about it to them here. They really need to improve their cooking skills. Sorry again..as I know people are doing their best to make a living but it truly was dreadful food. Perhaps the other dishes were great but the fish and vegetables were the worst ever.
I have been a customer here for the last 10 years and have always enjoyed the daily lunches. But since the last owner retired in November the service and more importantly the standard of food is deplorable. I normally give everybody a chance but in last six weeks it’s worse it’s getting. There is no leadership behind the counter. Their lost without a Shepard. The service is so slow and mostly the food is overcooked. There seems to be a few different chef’s in the kitchen but the end result is still the same. The place always had potential. Easy parking and fast service good fresh hot food. I’m disappointed as I travelled 20 min most days for the good good and above all the banter and gossip with the locals which by the way all share my views and day by day are disappearing to other restaurants in the area. Would love to see it improve and back to its original standard. Rant over.
Had a lovely coffee in Town Diner last Tuesday. Left spectacles behind. Phoned on Thursday and spoke to very helpful Christine. She posted the glasses to me at her own expense. Fantastic service, well done Christine and Town Diner
The Town Diner is a hidden gem in Ballyjamesduff. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating, our kids love interacting with them and they always make every effort to make you feel welcome. The food is tasty and amazing value for money with options to suit everyone. Its affordable for us to eat out together which we are very thankful for. Thank you to all that work there.
