Tucker's Place - Ballwin

This is one of my favorite steak places in the metro. Both the west and south county locations have a very similar vibe and quality. The steaks are awesome. The potato skins are amazing. Portions are almost ridiculous. House made dressings so good. Service is always good, sometimes great. Our most recent visit was a postponed Father's day dinner and we had the best experience. Tessie was our server and she was fantastically attentive. My dad is pretty picky and he was very pleased which is better than even enjoying it myself (which I did.

We were seated right away. The patio area is very comfortable and clean. Our waiter was Jeffrey K. He did a great job. Very friendly. My grilled shrimp dinner was great. The salad was very good and the baked potato was huge. We will definitely go back.

Very affordable steakhouse with good beef. The patio is very nice and the staff is efficient and pleasant. On a Saturday night there are so many people you have to fight to get a parking spot, so it may take some time. But for value you can't beat it. And the loaded baked potato is gigantic. Overall, there is a good reason why it's always so busy.

They were a little slow seating people for lunch at 1pm so we sat at the bar. The bartender, Jessica, was fabulous. I ordered a burger cooked medium and a salad instead of fries. I was happy that our salads came just a few minutes after we our order. The salad was fresh and I enjoyed all the fixings they put on it. The burger was overcooked. It was well done. This was disappointing. I was very hungry so I ate it. The pickles that came with the burger seemed homemade. They were crunchy and delicious. We asked about dessert and they only have cheesecake and it’s made by a 3rd party. I prefer desserts that are made on-site. Excellent bar service. There’s plenty of parking in the surface lot in front of the restaurant. Salad was a 4.5, the burger was a 3.0, bar service was a 5.0.

Great steak, huge potato, great rolls, and a good salad. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere was decent. Give this place a try if you are thinking about it.
