Kariba's Coffee House - Ballinasloe

Rather than wrestling the crazy Galway traffic and parking I decided to wait until Ballinasloe to stop for lunch. What an excellent decision! No congestion, plenty of parking and this absolute little gem for lunch. The staff are fabulous, so warm and friendly. The menu is extensive there is definitely something for everyone. I choose a Moroccan chicken salad. A generous portion with plenty of fresh delicious chicken cooked perfectly. I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch stop, the highlight of my day today. Highly recommended

Travelling across the country from Dublin to Lahinch we decided upon Ballinasloe for a brief lunch stop. We happened in on Kariba entirely by chance and were not disappointed. A proper pot of tea for two,delicious sandwiches and very friendly staff who were homely and attentive. Seemed to be frequented by local people which is always a good sign. The toilet facilities were very clean. So top marks from us for Karibas.

Karibas is a wonderful restaurant with kind caring staff who attend to all your needs. The food is delicious. I hadn’t been in a restaurant or bar all over Christmas because I was so wary of covid. Luckily Karibas isn’t too far from home so I treated myself to a birthday breakfast, I went for the vegetarian option and I was delighted. Marian, John and all the staff adhere to the regulations and keep everyone safe. It’s the best place for good tasty food at any time of the day. If you’re hungry it’s the place to go

Amazing service and food. The food was out so quickly, piping hot and tasty. The snug area with the doors that close made eating out with a toddler so much more enjoyable. He could walk around in the area with ease and free me up to enjoy my wonderful meal. Thanks so much

Top quality, great service. Jumbo breakfast was delicious. Would definitely go back. Lovely teas and coffee too
