Orka Artisan Cafe Bistro Ballater

Beautifully renovated but terrible atmosphere and service. Waited more than 50 mins for a bagel when there was hardly any customers. Ended up leaving before it even arrived. Coffee was only half full when served. Had to listen to the staff arguing. Weirdest of all there was then a tooth brush and tooth paste in the customer toilet. Bizarre.

Great soup, and the coffee is good too. Very nice staff which make it a lovely place to have a snack and coffee.

Dog friendly ! Lovely service and tasty meals at reasonable price. Highly recommended.

I don’t want to judge food and beverages like hot chocolate, as, throughout Scotland, there is a totally different view from us Italians on what is a hot chocolate, for them is a latte macchiato, nothing more. But apart from this that can be part of the traditions, the local would need a refreshed and some extra formalities in the service.
