Chili Masala - Ballarat

I always enjoy having breakfast here! Sometimes the service can be slow, but today my waiter was fantastic. She was very friendly and promptly brought us our food. I typically come for breakfast and always have a great experience. I'm a bit disappointed that the buffet is now only available on Mother's Day and Father's Day, but I understand that there was too much food waste. Overall, I highly recommend having breakfast at this place!

Great place, easy parking and cozy atmosphere. Really nice attentive staff and super fast service. No great selection for breakfast. Local friends made this recommendation to the one rule. Don't go if it's busy. We had an early breakfast (which was great) and left before it was packed.

The food itself was quite delicious, but a banquet for 2 wasn't it. Most of what was listed was not served what was served were small portions. The chicken of butter hardly had a chicken that the safron rice tasted like onion and that was with it except the occasional klove in which you would bite. And the desert 3 tiny ball things....3 for 2 people. Two samosas a few casual sauces. We cook Indians at home. We enjoy our Indian food. Our experience was not disappointing. Too bad they also seemed like beautiful people

This is the first review I’ve ever written, and this place truly deserves it. The food, whether Indian or otherwise, was the worst I have ever encountered. The garlic naan was covered in what appeared to be some sort of green substance that didn’t resemble garlic at all. The chili chicken contained several pieces of raw chicken in a sauce that looked like black ink. The lamb in the lamb biryani was hardly present. When we complained, a staff member brought over a fork to inspect the raw chicken, but they did so with dirty hands and retrieved a soiled napkin from the table at the same time. The plates were also unclean, and we had to wipe them down ourselves. The food tasted awful, and after a 45-minute walk to get there, we couldn’t eat any of it. The atmosphere was chaotic, with both the TV and radio blaring at full volume. I absolutely do not recommend this place.

Unfortunately the worst Indian I’ve ever eaten. The curry looks like a tomato paste based swamp sludge with a couple of pieces of dry overcooked meat. The rice was so full of oil that if I could wring it out it would have dripped like a squashed Big Mac. The vegetable samosa’s looked sad and soggy and in addition, the wait time for pick up was a full hour. However, when I arrived I found a store without customers and food that was as cold as the atmosphere. I’ve never felt the need to leave a bad review before, however this definitely called for it.
