The Laroch Restaurant Bar

This is a charming local pub and restaurant with friendly, quick, and efficient young staff. Although I didn't make a reservation, it was evident that I probably should have. I was seated at a small table in the bar area. I decided to try the scallops special, and since I had plenty of room for dessert, I also opted for the sticky toffee pudding.

The Haggis Bonbons, in particular, were a standout dish and are highly recommended. The service was also quite good, receiving a score of 4 out of 5, while the atmosphere was inviting and pleasant, also rated at 4 out of 5. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience within a reasonable price range of £10 to £20 per person.

We had an excellent meal. The food was first rate. Beautifully cooked and presented. There was some confusion over orders for both drinks and food, and the bill, (maybe my accent wasnt very clear! but the staff were really patient and cheerful throughout even when we managed to knock an almost full glass of red wine over! It was busy, but the staff kept an eye on all the tables, ensuring no one was left waiting too long. Food: 5
