The beef stir-fried with chili sauce was just what I was craving, and the fried rice was excellent. I’m looking forward to returning to sample their noodles. The jelly and cabbage dish was also extremely tasty!
The potstickers and cold noodles were delicious. The hot pot may take some getting used to, but it was a great experience overall. The waitress was very friendly, and they adhere to established standards. The place was also very clean.
This was my first visit, along with a friend, and we weren't quite sure what to order, so we decided to sample everything from the handmade dim sum menu. Everything was delicious! The soups were slightly salty, but the dumplings were perfectly balanced, so it evened out. My favorite was definitely the steamed bungalow potstickers. The fillings in all the dim sum were fantastic—no bland, mystery meatballs here. Instead, we got unique flavors that we really enjoyed. When they say something is spicy, they truly mean it! A dish with one chili has a nice kick, and with two chilis, you'll get quite the heat—but in a great way. Overall, we would definitely return to the dim sum section of the menu, and we're now excited to explore the rest of what they offer. Just a heads-up: the restaurant is a small white building that you could easily miss without GPS. So make sure to use it! Enjoy!
Came here for the first time. I was waiting fast. The place is beautiful and clean. Dan Dan Noodles and Sichuan Dumplings ordered. Both are on the spicy side, but nothing can be handled if you eat spicy dishes. Will come back to try some of the other items on the menu.
Came here because we were craving some noodles and noticed that this was nearby. It was a really nice experience but there were things here and there were still some downs to my experience here. Looking at the photos on Google and Yelp, its seems that this place may be known for their duck, which is something I will definitely need to try next time. Lets start off with the location. Meizhou Express is located on Maine Avenue and sit in what I thought was a warehouse or industrial building. Little did I know it was the restaurant I was going to eat at. So finding it can be a little bit of trouble. Parking was plentiful and the lot is vast so I can never see a time where it can be hard to find parking. Walking inside we were greeted with the host/server. We were seated next to the window and immediately nestled in. We were given water right off the bat and paper menus. Our party ordered the Beef Noodle Soup, Meizhou Buns, and Soup Dumplings (their take on XLB). We received the Beef Noodle Soup first and this was one of the reasons I decided to knock off a star. The soup was extremely salty but the beef and noodles saved it because they were both great. There was only one bok choi in the soup which was kind of upsetting because I love a balance of protein and vegetables but it didn't break the meal. Next, the Soup Dumplings came and it was great. However, there wasn't soup at all in the dumplings but the meat and the skins of the dumplings were still tasty. Lastly. we had the Meizhou Buns, which were steamed buns with ground pork in it. It was really good and a great treat. Overall, my experience here was great, but the salty soup, the hard to find location and the kind of beat up interior, I would say this place is on the lower end of 4 stars. I have seen some reviews about service being terrible but I did not have the same experience. Service was great and I would definitely come back again to try their Minced Pork Noodles and Dan Dan Noodles.
