Sushi Kato - Bakersfield

The service is generally good, although it can sometimes vary depending on the customers. It's worth noting that the Japanese culture has been refined long before European influences took hold. Regardless, I always find myself returning to Sushi Kato whenever I can, even if it means driving down from the Kern River Valley. Happy hour is definitely the most cost-effective time for us, but we enjoy it any time we can get there. Please remember to be respectful and courteous, and leave a fair tip; the staff deserves it. And don’t forget the star of the show—he's behind the bar. A little eye contact and a slight bow upon entering can go a long way in showing your respect. I wholeheartedly recommend Sushi Kato; I’ve never been disappointed. If it were feasible, we would visit daily!

Kato is an excellent sushi chef, and the food is fantastic! Be sure to visit during happy hour when sushi rolls are half price from 5:00 to 6:30 PM every day.

I really enjoy their happy hour specials. It can sometimes take a little while since there's only one chef, but it's always worth the wait. They offer some of the best prices in town during happy hour.
