Cafe Med - Bakersfield

When the food arrived, it was nicely plated and reminded me of a traditional Filipino gathering, with a bamboo underplate beneath the regular plate. However, I was left unimpressed with the taste; it was quite bland and lacked flavor, and the meat was tough. My drink tasted mostly like water with a hint of peach tea, and it was mostly ice. I'd like to give this place another chance, hoping for better service and food quality, but I noticed on Instagram that they are planning to close this location. I also wish the staff had more knowledge about allergens. Another customer inquired about peanut allergies, and the employee didn’t have any information to provide. She turned to the sleeping girl for answers, but there was still no clarity. Overall, I genuinely wish the best for the owners and hope they can improve things before they close down.

I'll give this about five stars plus plus It stuck over in the same plaza where Stockdale music used to be back in the day this place is on point very clean customer service was on point a lot of different drinks to choose from coffee I had was on point and the chocolate cake I had they had an Oreo on it young lady heated that bad boy up It was so good You got to make sure you get there early because they close at 2:00 p.m. in the afternoon so hopefully they'll get more folks in there they can stay open longer so you don't have to rush to get there I'm definitely going to go back to the spot this time I'll take my wife we can't go wrong but they also got some decent entrees too also You can't go wrong getting your grub and your drink on here

The service was terrible today 10/28/22, 4pm. Rebecca was called to take mine and someone else's order. She approached the register and pulled her phone out and texted for almost a minute. The other customer and I just stared at each other with confusion if we were supposed to order automatically or if we had to acknowledge her first. I've been here several times the first few months they opened and the service was pleasant. Now, I think they really fell off on finding good help. Better training in customer service is needed.

I recently dined at Umaga Cafe, and it was an amazing experience! The atmosphere was wonderful, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. The interior was beautifully decorated with Filipino ornaments that were thoughtfully arranged. As a Filipina, it was heartwarming to see a piece of my culture represented right here in Bakersfield. It's definitely a place worth visiting!

I ordered an Ube muffin, and what I received was nothing like what was depicted in the picture or advertised. Other photos show different packaging for this muffin, but what I got was just the bottom half. Where's the rest of it? I'm so disappointed. If I could rate it zero stars, I would, but unfortunately, I have to give it one.
