Stargazer Inn Bristlecone General Store

This place is fantastic! The owner is incredibly kind and the rooms are clean and modern. The general store nearby is adorable and cozy, selling wine, beer, organic food, snacks, and coffee. Bingo night was a blast and the place had everything you could need and more. I will definitely be returning. The rooms were clean and modern, with no television which I loved. There was a hot water kettle for tea or coffee. The great basin is only a 20-minute drive away for nearby activities. The food and drinks at the general store were excellent - as a vegan, I was able to get a tofu scramble for breakfast and they even had a microwave available to heat it up. The fresh strawberry rhubarb muffins were amazing, and the local coffee was delicious with non-dairy options available. Overall, the rooms were excellent, service was top-notch, and the location was perfect. Highlights included a great view, quiet atmosphere, and excellent value.

This restaurant review is about a fun and special place that is the perfect location for exploring Great Basin National Park. The room was a bit small but met our needs, and had amazing shower pressure. We were lucky to be there for bingo night, where guests and locals joined in the fun. The store had food items, gifts, and great coffee. The front porch was wonderful to hang out on. Be sure to stop by and meet the marvelous owners! Overall, we rated the rooms, service, and location a 5 out of 5, and found the hotel to be a great value.

This was my first visit to the small market for some last-minute supplies (beer thirty type supplies). It's a cool little store with all the essentials you need! They have a great selection of wine, snacks, and souvenirs. Service and location both get a perfect score of 5.

The owners are kind, and agreed to let me use utilities I was not entitled to based on payment. Don't have such an expectation, but also don't hesitate to visit this place.

What a gem! Cannot emphasize what lovely people own and run this motel and general store. My son and I stayed for one night on our way through to Las Vegas on July 17. The owners could not have been more helpful and accommodating, including helping with getting a cot set up and furniture moved in order for our room to work for both of us (my fault! . The general store has a real neighborhood feel, and there are a surprising number of eating options. For anyone who remembers the show “Northern Exposure” from many many years ago, there is def some of that vibe here. Ihope to be back with my husband to stay and explore the area even more.
