The Grand Terminus Hotel - Bairnsdale

We have been there several times and have enjoyed a few different vegan meals and they were absolutely delicious. They even have a seperate vegan/vegetarian menu

Watery unseasoned curry, preheated potatoes, over cooked steak and Naan bread that could be used as a hockey Puk, hair in the food, never again ????????????

The epitome of an excellent country-style pub, from the outstanding chicken parmas (get a side of pepper sauce!), to the super welcoming staff.This place excels at being exactly what every hotel should be. Such a shame I'll have to drive all the way from Melbourne whenever I want to visit. Although, considering we had dinner here 3 out the 5 nights we were staying nearby, safe to say that should hold me over until next time!

I've eaten calamari in Athens (cooked by in-laws) Paris, Dublin, Sydney and Melbourne - including at Greek restaurants. This is the best cooked and presented calamari ever. Apart from aunt Christina's in Athens. My partner David and I stop in Bairnsdale en route back to Melbourne only to taste this delight. Brava or bravo to the genius chef. It's deceptively difficult to get it right. Jeannette

A group of us get together at the Term every month or two. Our meals never fail to impress us and (if there's ever any room!), the desserts are fantastic.
