Reef & Roast - Bairnsdale

I had to wait 40 minutes for my takeout order, but I understand that there may have been staff shortages. My review is solely based on the food quality. I paid $17.50 for a steak sandwich with all the fixings, expecting something decent. However, the steak was thinner than the bacon, as shown in the photo, and completely inedible. It had no flavor and after looking at it closely, I decided it was better off being given to my dog rather than eating it myself.

Great, tasty meals at reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Handy location. Eat in or take home. Lovely roast beef, lamb or pork. Scalloped potatoes and cauliflower cheese.

There are so many options to choose from! The classic hearty dishes are delicious, fresh, and always prepared well. The gravy is especially delicious.

We have visited this restaurant twice while passing through the area, and wow, the steak sandwich is huge and incredibly fresh. The roast pork dinner for one is also amazing, with perfectly cooked pork. We will definitely be returning before we depart.
