Southern Philosophy Brewing Co.

We decided to share a small Southern Philosophy Pizza, which includes prosciutto, Georgia peaches, arugula, a pecan parmesan dusting, pecan ridge truffle oil, and a balsamic Alaga Cane Sugar Syrup glaze. The small size was perfect for an appetizer, although my husband could easily have finished a large on his own—it was that delicious! We had reservations at the American next door, so we didn’t want to overindulge. However, we returned later in the evening to enjoy some cocktails and take in the live music on the back patio. The vibe here is fantastic, right in the heart of Bainbridge Town Square. I would definitely recommend it—10/10!

Avoid sitting outside! We attempted to arrive early since we had a large group. While we appreciated the nice, breezy atmosphere with the fan, we felt neglected. There was a long wait for our food, drinks, and even utensils when they finally brought out some of the dishes. Once it started raining, we decided to take our food to go when it was finally ready. We enjoyed it once we got home.

Situated right on the town square, the brewery and restaurant is housed in a restored storefront in the heart of the block. Inside, we were greeted by charming exposed brick and a long wooden bar. The bartenders were incredibly helpful, providing detailed explanations of their beers and suggestions for our typical two flights, starting with lighter options and moving to heavier ones. The beers ranged from good to very good, and I particularly enjoyed their smoked porter and the Legend of Nelson American IPA. We also shared their 9 Ecuason pizza (the meaning of which completely eluded me, I admit), and it was truly fantastic. While artichokes might not seem like a typical pizza topping, they worked surprisingly well. I wish we could have spent more time here, but we still had over 220 miles ahead of us with a few more stops planned. If you're anywhere near Bainbridge, I highly recommend making this place a part of your trip.

Amazing service and drinks. Bartender made some mad drinks he sure poured them up, that’s the point if you can’t handle liquor please switch to kool-aid or iced tea. The pizza is the best in town and the servers should be commended for busting her butt serving numerous tables while short staffed. Give the service industry some grace they’re at short staffed and manage to smile with every order. Negative Karens not welcome. So to the Karen that complained about the undrinkable liquor please go pick up some ice tea at Walmart. Don’t down hard working ppl after all they took care of your tab and you’re still ungrateful and unsatisfied . At least be honest you took advantage for complaining they took care of your tab and yet you go online to still complain after your bill was satisfied. I know all of this because I was at the bar. The only complaint I have is that the ice was too cold . How dare you serve cold ice. Where’s the manager. Lol

Please note they serve cheese bread not cheese sticks as stated on the menu. The people were nice and the facility was clean. We ordered two pizzas they forgot to make the second. Other than the service missteps the food was greats.
