Eca - Baiao

Attended here last night as staying at Douro palace it is the best meal we have had in the last 4 weeks while travelling both Spain and Portugal wine was good service was excellent but the food was divine and a big departure from the usual large meal portions served in Portugal . The charcoaled chicken was cooked to perfection as was the veal with a great combination of vegetables and seafood not to be outdone the deconstructed lemon cheese cake was superb this chef really knows what he is doing and challenges the taste buds all this at a reasonable price as well . Highly recommended to all food lovers

Recommended place! Great food and very local. Go and tast it. If possible try the local Vinho Verde from Covela

Fancy presentation with an amazing view. Good wine list. Food is pretentious but doesn't has nothing special. Difficult access and its not worthy of the travel to go there specifically. Good option for hotel guests. Service is slow but nice
