Pensiunea Rustic - Baia Sprie

Very bad food, micii were really smelling, soups cold and unknown origin of the meat. Long service.... but the waiter was ok!

It was the first time we were in Maramureas, a wonderful place, with warm people and lots of things to see. As for the Pensiunea Rustic, it's a good place to sleep if you settle for average things and that's all. Although the food is good, we will probably find another place for next time.

RUSTIC swimming pool and restaurant use to be a nice location . this year in summer, as returning , I was disappointed . The swimming pool was not clean, at the restaurant we had to wait very long for the food that was not coming. The people in charge were not interested for guests, could not comply with the job.

Baia Sprie is a small town, and searching for a decent restaurants are not much around. We have seen some small eatery near our hotel, but we're afraid of what we get. Weve seen the sign earlier, is a Pension house and restaurant so, we thought it should be good. We already have experience from our previous stay of other pension house, they serve good food We drove and follow the sign, the place is a bit complicated to find, it say's 500 meter only from the road, suddenly the sign is gone. But after backing around we found it after all. The place is very beautiful, a Pension house and a restaurant with swimming pool. The parking was full when we arrive, but is not all for restaurant or hotel. Local people coming here for the swimming pool. The restaurant is in bloom. The surroundings are full with flowers, a nice pond and at the back and a little further is the pool When we enter the restaurant, there was a couple having dinner. It was early around 6 pm. A guy came with a menu list. Choices are abundant and hard to pick one. As always grill is on the menu. I think they are available in every restaurant in Romania. We both choose mixed grill, it can't nothing wrong by choosing this kind of food The interior of the restaurant is so unique, I don't know how to describe. While looking around my eye caught to the hanging garlic overall inside. The ceiling has extraordinary decoration it looks very old Our food came, wow, we didn't expected that we gonna get a very big portion. The food served in a wooden plate. The meat is on the top and the vegetables are under it. We have grilled potatoes, mixed vegetables, and rice. All together served in one plate. There were three different kind of meat beef, pork and sausage. It is certainly too much for the price. And we also order a salad bowl as side dish because we thought there wasn't veggies in it. It didn't stated on the menu if veggies are included so, we order a bowl of salad separately The food serving is very big, which was really more than worth the price. Is a fancy place the Pension house and restaurant so, we didn't expect to have this large portion of food. The service were very good and fast. Highly recommended for people with big hungry. You get to much for the price you pay

Would like to rate the stay but after an 8 hour drive across Romania we arrived at 10pm to find our room hadn’t been vacated yet... sitting in garden still at 11.45pm with our suitcases waiting for it to be made ready?! Shocking!! Doesn’t really matter what they do from here in on but I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone!
