The Family Ragusa does it all: Different types of bread (from multi-grain to whole grain to a fantasctic white crunchy bread with sesame), little pastries, cookies, panini, pizze and of course the famous sfincione bagherese! Which is for everyone who loves cheese and wants to taste a true traditional sicilian dish which you can't find anywhere but in Bagheria: It is round like a pizza and kind of the same dough, with ricotta and/or tuma cheese, fresh spring onions, fresh olive oil, just a few sardines -just for the salty taste- and crunchy breadcrumbs. It's truly heaven! And the best part is: all the ingridients are from local farmers. I like this bakery because it is a very modest place. It is not about a great design and bright lights, to lull in the costumer. It is rustic and all about the food. Sometimes while waiting for a freshly made sfincione (and when I am really hungry) , I ask for a moffoletto, a panini which they will prepare you with some fresh olive oil, dried origano and some salt -just amazing! Or you just watch them patiently making all there delicious goods in the big wood-oven. The fire will always be fed with fresh cutted lemon, olive or laurel branches (depending on the season) which makes a unique and fantastic smell. This truly is a great place, for everyone who loves food. It is traditional, local and oh so fine. I just love this place.

The Chees-onion pizza saved our relationship ended with its fine taste. Do not miss it (except if you try to break up with someone)!
I highly recommend it! If you are nearby, you should try it: we tried pizzas and some bread and everything was just fantastic.
