Namaskaar - Baden-Baden

The menu items which could be made vegan were marked on the menu. The staff member who took our order seemed to understand but then came back and asked it we wanted lamb or chicken in the biriyani. We were confused and checked that he understood that we wanted all vegan, but he insisted on asking and so we thought maybe they had fake meat and said chicken if it was vegan. Luckily the manager then came over to tell us we couldn't have a vegan dish with chicken (they didn't have fake meat) and clarify it all. The food was delivered promptly, was delicious and everything else went smoothly.

We were lucky enough to be served by a vegan member of staff who was super helpful and advised us what could be made vegan. Offered extra chutney and suggested vegan roti bread. Food was good, a little oily but delicious.

Ein kleines Restaurant mit einer abwechslungsreichen Auswahl an indischen Gerichten. Leider gibt es nur einen vegetarischen Bereich, und als Veganer muss man darauf achten, keine Gerichte mit Joghurt oder Butter zu wählen.

I had a very rude welcome at this restaurant when I asked whether I could sit on one of the many vacant tables outside I was simply told no ...with no further explanation from the manager man. Perhaps it was a lost in translation moment, but it felt quite rude. Luckily the food was tasty, if not slightly over priced for what it is.

Please do not visit this restaurant at all..we just walked in and asked the owner to on the fans as there was no air conditioning and he stared at us as if we had committed such a huge crime .. please avoid
