Our friend just asked for the appetisers and they started to come, wonderful breads, focaccia, tagascan olives, beautiful sardinara, thinly sliced meat like bresaula only better, crepe stuffed with potato and porcini mushrooms, an egg and funghi flan, porcini mushroom risotto and tagliatelle with porcinis and the best tomato sauce I've ever tasted. The portions were just right when you are eating a variety of things. We decided to share entrees, beef cooked in salt, which was so tender it melted in your mouth and chima, stuffed veal with Swiss chard and egg. For dessert we had sfogliata, an apple dessert. So good. All these dishes are made by the family members that work at the restaurant. We finished by sipping the home made digestivos limoncello, licorice and a herbal digestive. The limoncello was wonderful but I loved the licorice. The service was excellent, the meal reasonably priced as was the wine. It was wonderful to have such a lovingly made meal. Fabulous. We will definitely visit again.
This is worth a stop, en route, though Triora is the best place in the valley for eating otherwise. You drive past this going up to Triora, so, one night, why not try it for dinner? We did, and we loved it! Fine wines too. It's really an old mill and you sit in amongst the old stone presses and ... it's like eating in a museum, but with tastes from heaven
Excellent food and service with a lovely atmoshere. Very familly orintated and family run. If you want to learn more about the area and Italy this resturant is a must. With stunning surroundings and a real pleasure to visit. Very reasonable quality food.
This is a contrast to the regular fare in Valley Argentina. Good wines, as usual, and a variety of different dishes. Great tastes. WELL WORTH TRYING!
