Cafe & Restaurant Elbflorenz

Had dinner at the restaurant twice during our stay in Bad Schandau. The views towards the river Elbe are beautiful and watching the ships go by was very relaxing. The service was very good, attentive but not intrusive.The quality of the food was amazing, we were there during the " "Spargelzeit" (asparagus season) and enjoyed the freshly prepared food very much.It is a bit more pricey than some other places in town, but for a special treat it is well worth it.

I really liked the service, staff was really nice, not so much able to speak english, but we understood each other in some way. The food was good and I loved the cakes. Deserts were divine. We had our baby boy along and it wasn´t an issue to warm him his food. I liked the attitude of the waitress, really nice lady. Restaurant with a nice view.

We were looking for a place to eat and this ordinary-looking place has a very attractive menu - fish and meat with very attractive accompaniments. We were lucky to get the last table. We were so hungry that we started eating cakes while waiting for our main course - the home made cakes are to die for -- the meals even more so.It was so good that we booked a table to return the next day -- but was told that the only time with a free table available was at 5pm. We took it and had another hearty meal with no regret of having to eat earlier than usual.

Very small food compared to other places around. Not nice, almost rude personnel. High price for under the average food. Very nice view of the Elbe on the terrace.

Very rude staff. The waitress showed no willingness to accept non-German speaking guests.
