It is a relatively new hotel in Bad Kreuznacher Kurviertel, right next to the Parkhotel. Only a large parking lot separates both buildings. I can't say whether these are paid for guests because we parked otherwise. The access is blocked by a barrier. Over an eternally long red path, later carpet you enter the hotel or the entrance hall. In front of the reception, which is followed by a minibar on the right. To the right it goes to seminar rooms and toilets. After further seminar rooms, the “Speisesaal” comes to the left. I don't want to call restaurant. It looks like a canteen, even with covered tables. So we come to fourth (the donors of our voucher were allowed to come with us at the hotel. Then you'll be there until someone moves. I didn't see a sign to the restaurant. Since no one took us, we tried our luck left. Of course, carpet everywhere. We were right. We have a direct look at a buffet. Looks nice, but I've been afraid to be wrong here. Behind me I see butter cubes in a large porcelain dish, which are covered with ice cubes... Why are there still butter at the buffet in the evening (19:00)? A friendly young man in a black suit and a purple shirt with a tie controls us. “Ah.. Family Nolux..” I had won him love right away. In his cheerful way he gave us three tables to choose from. There are about 100 guests. Mainly tables for six people are here. Well 20 guests of a golfer group were already present, supplied with drinks. Outside there were also a few guests on the covered terrace. We'll sit down, eight minutes later, we'll get our tickets from our boss. At the same time, he pointed to the buffet. He counted; Appetizer variants (a kind of antipasti, buntbarschfilet or turkey breast on “reis variations” and various sweets or cheeses were selected. It should have cost about €25 per nose. Beer comes from Bitburg or Köstritz, wheat make the Benedictines. We did not get a special wine card, the selection of open wines is limited to four winemakers from the close with 13 15 wines. We went through with our choice, the cards came to the boss. Then we gave up the order and he disappeared. Shortly afterwards, cutlery was replaced or added at our table. Everything always neat from right, ladies first... Then he brought the drinks with a young colleague. At first he opened in front of our eyes the bottle of water (6€ 0.75 which he then reihum in his feminine style only to the ladies, then to us gentlemen. This was repeated once during the evening. Furthermore we served the ordered Benediktin wheat (5€ 0.5 , my Pils (3€ 0.3 , Fräulein chose a dry Riesling from the Kauer winery in Windesheim Nahe (5.80€ 0.2). Stand on the table, along with salt and pepper shakers, a pot plant and an LED light, even glasses ready for water and wine. It was a poor red wine cellar. A hotel with such claims should have representative glasses in a city in the middle of the near wine cultivation area. And then they pour the nominal very good Riesling into this glass tub... Ahh! We were then served with herbal cucumber and two kinds of bread. The quark homemade and could please, the bread was nothing special, even more dry. Meanwhile, the golfers slept over the blue carpet to the buffet to fully load the plates. We got surprisingly a greeting from the kitchen... Quiche Lorraine with herbal cucumber I was surprised. The chairs are made of wood and brightly padded, partly with armrests. You sit comfortably. The table is covered with a bright tablecloth in hotel quality. Cutlery of the WMF Hotel variety is also a rolled-in napkin that stands high-edge in front of one. A small plate with bread knife on the left. Then we get our creams from the bar-saving gel with Croutons (5,80€ As no other way to expect, this was served in a classic gastro soup cup. Go to Spargel. Five croutons swoop up. Then the asparagus came out in the back. A real “ram” soup. Little asparagus to taste. But it got better with every spoon. Even the croutons still had enough crunch and were not completely diverted. They only tasted to me a little too intense after any herbs I could not define, even the oil in which they were fried was very taste-intensive. Still a decent soup and homemade. Good 3.5* When cleansing, it was again asked for the satisfaction that the water was poured. In the meantime, up to three waiters took care of our table. Always strict after Knigge. It's too exhausting to me, and it works in my eyes. Despite communication with the guest, it is not really personal but only professional. The lady then brings us three times the side salad Lollo Rosso, Lollo Bionda, radish salad, carrot salad in yellow and orange, a few leaves of chicory, a bit of tomato and cucumber. All fresh, good dressing, there were some roasted pumpkin and sunflower seeds. I missed the herbs alone. A decent salad! 4* We haven't been all through the green food yet, the main foods have been served. We should pay attention to the very hot plates. Our companions once chose the Ingelheimer asparagus with lock potatoes (whatever the hot may be with crushed butter and a pig-back steak. The asparagus partly very thick, up to three centimeters in diameter, but well cooked and very tasty! Steak's getting too dry. The decomposed butter was served abundantly in a saucer. The court was okay, not anymore! 3* Rumpsteak with homemade herbal butter and roast potatoes (21.80€ A really big piece of meat I had not expected. What came there wasn't more than 180 grams. The potatoes were enough and almost perfect. Salt was missing. But he could be helped. Nice to fried with bacon and a few herbs. They were really good. Unfortunately, the steak could not really convince. Of course, the desired degree of cooking was not asked before. Then the disappointment.
