Four of us had an evening meal on a Saturday night. As usual, the restaurant was nearly full. The menu offered quite a few entrees, all curiously priced at the same All dishes featured high quality meats or fish. All were pleasing to the...eye, but each was modest in size. This was not a problem for us, but would be for the lover of huge portions. Service was satisfactory, despite a few minor flaws. The wines are often from excellent vintners and are usually above average, although we sent the housewine back as it was not a good representative of a wine restaurant. The restaurant itself is little changed from our last visit. The prices continue to creep up faster than similar establishments. Still it has not priced itself out of the market. I would recommend it to you as probably the best restaurant in town.
I had a great business dinner accompanied by an excellent grauer burgunder. The venue is lovely especially in summer time as we were accommodated in the terrace. It is offered a superb entries Menù. We tried the a la carte menu, where I appreciated...the special salad with strawberries and asparagus quite a lot , together with the trout as main dish. I closed with an excellent chocolate soufflé. Other guests have been delighted with the classic revisited schnitzel. Excellent food and location , disappointed from the absence do Credit card acceptance.
We entered a very quiet and traditional restaurant to be attended by well groomed waiters. One spoke English well and was able to explain the (only German menu to us). The dishes we ordered were traditional but beautifully presented in a modern style and very...tasty. The recommended wine was also very pleasant. The price was appropriate for the quality of the meal. We will eat here again. Can recommend for anyone who is interested in trying a modern interpretation of traditional German food.
This weinstube allowed us to enjoy the best of the German game season. the venison was excellent and was well complemented by a very attentive (and flowing English) waiter. the cozy dining room, warm atmosphere and excellent menu becomes the most demanding diner. highly recommended.
