Katrin Almhutte - Bad Ischl

At noon last week, the mountain climbed, not only crashed from a cable car. We were hungry and thirsty. We sat on a table without attention for 15 minutes. When you get up and ask for a menu, they were brutally told to find one from another table. We voted with our feet and went a little further to another guesthouse where the service was prompt, courtesy and food delicious

A great place, two steps from the cable car station. The views are incredible, the food is completely fresh and perfectly cooked and presented. The service was wonderful, and the manager himself is a model of the traditional bathroom Ischl hospitality and kindness. If you are in the region, this place is a must!

Have been visiting here for 9 years. The view to the Dachstein is amazing but don't be put off by bad weather. Inside the hutte you will find a very warm welcome in traditional surroundings. The menu is simple but the daily specials are excellent. How Erwin produces this in such tiny surroundings is a mystery. Tuesdays are localmusic and sing along afternoons. Not to be missed. you are assured of a warm welcome. Just celebrated my husbands 70th birthday here . Fabulous.Popular with ski tourers in winter too
