A wonderful, small, family owned hotel in the northern Black Forest region. The staff is incredible friendly and will assist you wherever they can. Continental breakfast was delicious and had a lot to choose from. Dogs are allowed and if they are well behaved you can even take them with you to the restaurant. The current owners just recently bought this hotel (January 2023) and little by little starting to refurbish the old house and give it a more modern touch. You can see it on the flat screen TV’s in the rooms, security locks outside, the furniture all over the the restaurant and in the hotel rooms. During our stay they bought new fans and hairdryer for example and replaced them in the rooms. Major renovation are scheduled for next year and we look forward to come back and see the changes. The hotel itself is too sweet for words and as a guest you will fell welcomed at any time. Its a super quiet area, peaceful ideal for hiking, relaxing, enjoying the nature. Major cities like Karlsruhe or Stuttgart and Pforzheim aren’t far away and easy accessible by car. The area is also wonderful to explore via motorcycles. Prices are very reasonable, bathrooms clean and shower head had a rain function. Rooms were a bit hot in summer and didn’t had aircon but we managed to sleep with windows open. Balcony could have had an umbrella but next time will ask for one but to be honest we spent most of our time outside, so it wasn’t really necessary. Hotel offers not only breakfast but also lunch and dinner as buffet but I can’t really give a review for those as we haven’t tried that. Parking bays are right en front of the hotel.
