Perfect coffee and cake in a quiet Austrian town, what can be better, Great selection and cheaper prices than in the big towns

On the way from the salt mountain towards the lakeside of the small town of Hallstatt. Very friendly staff, excellent pastries and snacks ("Weckerl").

Very nice café - a great option for breakfast, lunch and dinner in summer (outside seating option available), as well as in winter (hot chocolate after a day of skiing, yes please!). We have been in Bad Goisern plenty of times and Maislinger Café is always worth a visit. Bread and pastry is homemade and delicious, many local bread types available.
